Planned Giving – Archer Society
Making a donation through a planned gift is an ideal way to create a legacy of support for The Senator Bob Hooper House while providing for your own future and that of your beneficiaries.
The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation has established a bequest society entitled the Archer Society. This society carries on the legacy and tradition of Dr. John Archer (1741-1810), a Harford Countian, who in 1741 received the first medical diploma issued in America and began his practice of medicine in Harford County. Ultimately, he and his son, Dr. Thomas Archer, founded the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland in 1799.
UM Upper Chesapeake Health continues this fine tradition of providing health care to the communities of Harford and Cecil counties. The Archer Society of the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation enables the community to created personal legacies that will enrich the heritage of health care to all who come through the doors of UM upper Chesapeake Medical Center and UM Harford Memorial Hospital.
